ABOUT:
Peter Bednar is an architect and urban planner with 10 years of professional experience, currently working with the office of Jakub Cigler Architekti (JCA) in Prague, Czech Republic. Before returning to Prague in 2012 he spent majority of his professional life abroad, studying and working in the United States, The Netherlands, China and Italy for combined 12 years. He studied architecture at the University of Arkansas and urban planning at TU Delft. His specialization is in providing imaginative and practical design solutions for design problems of all scales, with particular focus on public-interest design and development of methodological strategies for enhancing spatial, social, environmental and economic value of a particular site. As a part of various teams (and occasionally individually) his work has been awarded with 30+ design awards and competition prizes, including six AIA awards and two BSA awards.
Jeffrey Huber is an assistant professor within the School of Architecture at Florida Atlantic University. He is also the Director of Urban Design and Planning at Brooks + Scarpa Architects and the managing principal of their South Florida office. His academic research and professional work focuses on interdisciplinary projects that combine ecological, landscape, urban, and architectural design and have garnered numerous national design awards. Huber is considered an expert in the field of Low Impact Development (LID) and was co-author of the award winning publication, LID, a design manual for urban areas.
